Aarunya Yoga School

Aarunya is a given name which translates from Sanskrit to English as The Dawn. Each day, we awaken to possibilities. Through an ecological approach to practice; we are devoted to exploring the ways in which Yogic arts repair the individual, global, and cosmic moving body. Through the ritual of Landing, Listening, Flowing, Bonding, Repairing, and Regenerating; we kindle the light of transformation. We believe that in order to contribute to the global healing so critical at this time, we have to begin by watering the seeds of understanding in ourselves. Aarunya Yoga School’s creator Morgan Kulas no longer offers 200hr or 300hr Yoga Teacher Education as she did from 2017-2024. This choice was made out of a commitment to decoloniality in Western Yoga. A commitment to decoloniality implies giving back appropriated indigenous teachings to the cultures and peoples they belong to. This statement seeks to acknowledge the many graduates of Aarunya Yoga School and the skillfulness of their teaching practices and offerings in the world. Morgan is humbled by and proud of all graduates of the school and seeks to set her compass towards what a more ethical Yoga landscape looks like in the West. She has transitioned to offering select conturing education for already established teachers as well as weekly classes and embodied immersions for dedicated students.
